First, we mask off the work area thoroughly.
Second, we mask off the hardware.
Third, we set up our fume exhauster to control dust and odor.
Fourth, we remove all caulk or silicone from the tile.

For this customer in Mason, we refinished everything in a bright white finish. This is what the customer wanted as it gave a fresh updated clean look that can match with any aesthetic they wanted. As you can see in the picture they had different colors of tile which all looked the same color once we were done. We did remove the failing caulk and grout on this project and regrouted and re-caulked as appropriate. That being said you are definitely not limited to white as we have many different color options available and we could have done the tub one color and the tile another color for an additional fee.

What color options are there with tile refinishing?
We have a dozen colors that we use regularly and try to keep in stock. On top of that we can match any solid color in a Sherwin Williams paint deck in our water, chemical, and heat resistant coatings which are not made by Sherwin Williams. This gives you over 5,000 different color options for your tile refinishing project. In addition we have colors that simulate the look of stone and marble as well.
How do you handle the grout with tile refinishing?
You will still have grout lines after your tile is refinished. Once it is refinished both the grout and the tile will be covered in our coating. The coating we use is water, heat, chemical, and scratch resistant. It should be more resistant to mold and mildew while being easier to clean as long as you follow our care instructions.
Loose Or Missing Grout, How Do You Handle That?
If there is any loose or missing grout we will repair that before refinishing the tile. In fact it is standard operating procedure on most projects to fill all of the grout lines with new grout. That being said if your grout is old, failing, falling out of the wall. Then we need to dig all of that grout out and completely regrout your tile. Rarely do we run into a tile project that we cannot do. Unless there is a plumbing related water leak behind the tile and the wall is soft. Then you’d need to have your plumbing issue addressed before we could do anything. Our refinishing services include but are not limited to ceramic tile, glass tile, mosaic tile, porcelain tile, etc.
