In this photo BRS did a marble look with heavy veining at the customers request on the floor tile, a dark grey on the wall tile and bright white on the bathtub. If you wanted less or more veining on the marble we can do that. If you wanted a different base color for the marble or a different vein color for the marble we can do that. If you wanted a different solid color like what was done on the bathtub or wall tile we can match any of the 5,000 colors in a Sherwin Williams paint deck in our proprietary coating which isn’t made by Sherwin Williams. In this photo BRS refinished a tile kitchen backsplash and made it a more modern black at the customers request. This customer could have requested an accent color on those smaller tiles in the middle though it would have added to the cost. We can do different sheens as well some customers want a high gloss and some prefer a low gloss. We do offer countertop refinishing and cabinet painting as well. This customer did not choose to have either of those services performed. But you can save a lot of money with our efficiency discount when you have multiple projects done at the same time.

This customer bought a house that had an existing Tuscan theme to the kitchen. Which the previous owner adored and the new owner did not like it at all. So they asked us if we could refinish the tile in a light grey in a satin sheen. Which we were able to do I was very impressed with how well all of the different embellishments were concealed by the refinishing. It definitely looks much cleaner and more modern.

Obviously the more colors we use in a room the longer the job will take and the more material it will use which can increase the cost. That being said there are lots of choices with tile refinishing you are really only limited by your imagination.
What is your tile refinishing process?
First, we mask off the work area thoroughly.
Next, we mask off the hardware.
After that, we set up our fume exhauster to control dust and odor.
Then we remove all caulk or silicone from the tile.
The next step is to aggressively clean the entire tile surface.
After which we make any necessary repairs to the tile and grout.
Next, we thoroughly sand all of the tile and grout.
Then we generously apply a chemical to promote adhesion to the tile and grout.
After that, we spray multiple coats of our propietary coating.
Our coating is moisture, chemical, heat, and scratch resistant.
Once dry we remove all masking materials and haul away all trash.
We do our best to leave the work area cleaner than we found it.
Most tile projects can be refinished in one day.
You can use your like new tile 24 hours after we leave.

Can you change the color of tile without replacing or removing it?
Yes we refinish your tile while it is still installed on the wall or whatever surface it’s applied to. Which means you don’t have to worry about other items being damaged during demolition. Because there is no demolition, we aren’t removing anything we are just refinishing the tile and masking off the surfaces not being refinished. We can complete most tile refinishing projects in one day. Which is certainly much faster than other options like tile replacement or remodeling.

That depends on who you hire. Our family has been in the refinishing business since 1978. With proper care and maintenance tile refinished by BRS can last for 10 to 20 years. That being said there is no one size fits all answer to this question. As usage and care can affect the lifespan of your refinished tile.
How long does tile refinishing take to perform?
Most tile refinishing projects can be completed in one day per room. So for example if you hired us to refinish all of the tile in two bathrooms or a bathroom and a kitchen it would normally take two days combined to complete that project. When doing multiple projects at one property be sure to ask about our efficiency discount.
