  1. The first step is to mask off the work area to protect the work area.
  2. Then we will set up our fume exhauster to help control the dust and odor.
  3. Next we will remove any caulk or silicone along the shower if needed.
  4. If your shower has been refinished before, we will remove any failing coating.
  5. Then we will aggressively clean and degrease the shower.
  6. After that we will de-gloss the surface chemically or by sanding, or both.
  7. Next we can make any needed repairs to your shower.
  8. Then we will smooth out the repairs on your shower.
  9. After that we can apply a bonding agent if needed.
  10. Then we will spray multiple coats of primer if needed.
  11. Next we will spray on multiple coats of finish.
  12. After that we remove the masking materials and clean up.
  13. Then we apply a fresh bead of caulk along the shower when possible.
  14. Next we show you your new shower.
  15. Then we go over the 10 year warranty and care info with you.

A: We’re normally able to reglaze a shower in one appointment. Obviously every job is different but it shouldn’t normally take more than 3 – 6 hours depending on the condition of your shower.

Q: What if I have shower doors?

A: We recommend that you remove the shower doors and the track prior to our arrival. This allows us to remove all the silicone from your shower. It also allows us to get the coating underneath the shower door track. Both of these things will help your shower refinishing project to look better and last longer. Anybody that refinishes your shower with the doors and track in place is not your friend. As that can cause issues and problems to occur down the line. We can help you take them off if needed for an additional fee. But they’re very easy to take off. It’s just a few screws that you have to remove to take them out.

 

Q: Do you offer a warranty on your shower refinishing work?

A: Yes, our shower refinishing warranty is for 10 years. Which applies on most residential and some commercial projects. Contact our office for more information.

Q: Are refinished surfaces slippery?
